Short answer. Sending money to another hho.cash user is free. Savings and staking have no fee from us. Swapping costs 0.5%, shown in the quote before you confirm. Buying with a card costs whatever the payment provider charges — that one is not ours and it is the most expensive thing on this page.
| What you do | What we charge | What else it costs |
|---|---|---|
| Send to another hho.cash user by @handle | Free | Nothing — we pay the network fee for you |
| Send USDC to an outside wallet | Free | Network fee on Base, typically well under a cent. We cover it on gasless transfers |
| Savings (USDC earning through Morpho) | 0% | Nothing. You get the full yield the protocol pays |
| Staking (wstETH) | 0% | Lido takes 10% of staking rewards — that is built into the token, not added by us |
| Swap any token | 0.5% 0.25% on Premium |
The DEX price you get, shown in full before you confirm |
| Strategies (copy-trading on Hyperliquid) | 0% to join | Exchange trading fees on each trade; flat $1 to move money back out — $1 on $1,000 |
| Buy USDC with a card or bank transfer | 0% from us | 3–8% to the payment provider — see below |
| Premium subscription | $9.99/mo $79.99/yr |
Optional. Halves the swap fee |
Every page like this is written to make the product look good. So here is the part that usually gets left out.
When you buy USDC with a card, the money goes through a licensed payment provider — MoonPay or Coinbase — not through us. We add nothing, but their pricing is the largest single cost anywhere in this product:
If you already hold USDC somewhere else, sending it in costs a fraction of a cent and skips this entirely. That is genuinely the cheapest way in, and it costs us the on-ramp revenue to say so. We compared every route with the arithmetic on $500 in the cheapest way to add money.
If you are comfortable with a wallet, a DEX and gas, you can swap for less. Our 0.5% pays for the routing, the gas we sponsor, and the fact that you do not have to hold ETH or approve contracts yourself. That is a real convenience, and it is a real cost. If it is not worth 0.5% to you, you are not the person we built this for, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
Copy-trading strategies execute real trades on an exchange, and every trade pays exchange fees out of the position. Moving money back to your wallet costs a flat $1 network fee — so withdrawing $1,000 costs $1, or 0.1%. Because it is flat rather than a percentage, it is proportionally larger on small withdrawals, which is worth knowing before you move $20 back and forth.
The honest framing on returns: Savings yield comes from third-party lending protocols and changes constantly — it is not a rate we set or guarantee. Strategies can lose money. Neither is a deposit, and neither is insured. We explain where that yield actually comes from, including what can go wrong.
Three different things get called "fees" and it is worth separating them:
| Kind | Who takes it | Where you see it |
|---|---|---|
| Our fee | hho.cash | Only on swaps (0.5%) and Premium. Shown in the quote |
| Network fee (gas) | The blockchain | Base costs a fraction of a cent. We sponsor it on gasless transfers |
| Third-party fee | Payment provider, exchange, protocol | Card purchases, exchange trades, Lido's cut of staking rewards |
Yes. Sending by @handle between hho.cash users costs nothing — no fee from us and no network fee for you, because we pay it. There is no minimum and no monthly cap on free sends. Current limits are $250 per transfer and $1,000 per day, which are safety limits, not pricing.
Sending USDC you already own from another wallet or exchange. On Base that costs a fraction of a cent. Buying with a card is the most expensive route, by a wide margin.
No. Savings has no management fee and no performance fee. You receive the full yield the underlying protocol pays. We could charge here and chose not to.
Not from us. Sending USDC out to another wallet is free and the network fee on Base is negligible. The one exception is moving money out of a Strategy, which costs a flat $1 network fee because it crosses between chains — $1 whether you move $50 or $1,000.
It halves the swap fee, from 0.5% to 0.25%. At $9.99 a month it pays for itself if you swap about $4,000 a month. Below that, it does not — and if you mostly send and save, it does nothing for you at all.
No. Our fee is a separate, stated 0.5% — it is not folded into the rate you are quoted. That matters because a hidden spread is how most "zero fee" crypto products actually make money.
